Vrijeme je za pravdui

Tri tačke Programa za bolju Crnu Goru:
1. da zaposlimo ljude, da oživimo privredu, da povećamo plate i penzije;
2. da raščistimo s korupcijom i kriminalom, sa siromaštvom i strahom od vlasti;
3. da živimo dobro, da se družimo sa svijetom, da gradimo mir, stabilnost i napredak.

Da dignemo glavu, da se pogledamo u oči i da
kažemo: VRIJEME JE ZA PRAVDU.

They say that life is a miracle that is continuously ravaged and dispersed, but remains standing strong just as the bridge over the Drina. If that can be taken as a palliative circumstance, I admit that I often (sometimes even too often) quote, but observing the thought that my friend, Prof. Dr. Dragan Koprivica, once expressed that “the world is so old that it is difficult to say something new”, I keep the right to this manner.

While preparing for this presentation, I read several similar biographies of various people, who were ready to share their privacy with the Internet users, for various reasons. So now, in this context, my first confession – none of those biographies seemed sufficiently honest. I think that it is difficult to tell a life, even more difficult to describe it, but, still, the most difficult thing is to experience it in an objective and honest manner.

So, let’s start. I was born in Bar, on September 17, 1965, and my zodiac sign is Virgo. I studied and graduated from the Faculty of Tourism and Foreign Trade in Dubrovnik; by 1990, I spoke fluently three languages – English, German and Italian, but now, except for English, that knowledge deteriorated to the mere understanding of the interlocutors.

And this fact was one of the direct reasons why I got involved in politics. I am fighting, and I will fight for our region, unique by its beauty, not to repeat the mistake that keeps so many generations as hostages of politics, for which the prosperity of all the citizens has never been the aim. Thus, 17 years later, we are coming back to the standards that our parents have already enjoyed in the former Yugoslavia.

I spent the first nine years of my life in Virpazar, and after that, my family moved to Budva, where I’m currently living.

By the way, our roots go back to Bjelice, that is, prior to that, to the period after the Kosovo battle. They say that we are the descendants of Pavle Orovic. In the 18th century, the three Milic brothers came to Crmnica, and two of them remained there, while the third one went to Lapcici (a village over Budva).

My mother was born in the house of Djuro Tomanov Zec, and I was especially attached to her.

(I made several days long break here in preparing my CV, for the reasons known to my friends.)

I got married in 1994, to Ljilja Antovic (the roots of her father’s family originate from Bjelopavlici, and later, that family moved to the village of Krimovice in the Grbalj region).

(Lacking some other argument, my political opponents, using untrue statements, connect the family of my five with Sveto Marovic, going so far as to proclaim me to be his son in law).

In my case the rule is confirmed that behind every publicly exposed man there is a woman. I think that she suffers the most because of my political engagement, taking over all the responsibilities related to the care for and upbringing of our children. And children are the meaning of my life – Igor (born on June 27, 1994.), Aleksandra (January 06, 1996) and Maja (January 23, 1997). I usually cheer up myself saying that I have three children, for now. My sincere message to all the young couples is that love wins and that our modern family should have as many children as possible.

Just as any other parent, I am afraid that I will not be able to provide to my children all that my parents have done for my brother and myself. Our childhood was careless. We lived in the country that gave you the feeling of being respected and safe. We were aware that this wonderful dream would not last forever, but at the same time, we did not understand fully all the warnings that ugly things from the region could start happening here, as well. The country that had such great sportsmen, scientists, musicians and other renowned individuals simply gave you the opportunity to choose. We were part of the world, more than ever, that is, the actors in shaping up that world. And now, we are hostages of politics, whose actors blame others for their mistakes with an unbearable ease.

How many wonderful words were spoken about unity, respect, territorial integrity and sovereignty?! How we promised to continue down the same path?! And in the end, we forgot it all, and broke our promises. Today, we should be responsible at least to the extent not to fool ourselves and not to underestimate anyone.

They say that politics are the skills of the possible. On the contrary, I believe that the time has come to prove that life is above politics, and that there is no reason because of which we should not start acting as humans, who have a common goal and the commitment to fully implement it. I wish to believe that there are no people in Montenegro for whom the prosperity of the overall society is not a priority issue.
